Hair model

OMG!  Her hair has been making me lol every time I look at it, it looks those women in the Herbal Essences shampoo commercials. 


Hand sculpted from polymer clay over a wire and foil armature. Hand painted with acrylic paint. The hairs on the coat were meticulously  painted one by one, they even follow natural hair growth patterns and swirls. No molds were used in the making of this sculpture nor were any made. The mane and tail are made from mohair.

I don't remember when I started painting her, but I have been working on painting her since before I finished the black unicorn foal I made in 2012.
