I just put some of the finishing touches on the base yesterday. The unicorn has been finished since August last year.
He is modeled after a Gypsy Vanner horse. He is completely hand sculpted from polymer clay and epoxy, over a wire and foil armature. He is hand painted with acrylic paint. The mane, tail, and leg feathering are Tibetan lambs wool. No molds were made or any used in the making of this sculpture.
All of the plants except the flowers are hand made from polymer clay. The unicorn is 12 in long and around 6 1/2 in tall without the base. The base is 9x7 in wooden oval.
There is a brass peg in his base, which fits into a hollow brass tube in his leg, that allows him to stand on one leg.
He is not available for sale at the moment. He has been reserved, but I haven't heard back from the person who expressed interest in buying him. So he may become available for purchase in the future.
